We went to Noosa the other week to catch up with Graeme and Marie, friends from Melbourne who came up to visit their daughter Michelle and her husband Gary, to celebrate Michelle’s birthday.

We had a great weekend with them all, lunch at the surf club in Hastings Street, cruising down the Noosa river in Michelle and Gary’s boat, and out for dinner at Thai Square which has beautiful food.

On the way home from Noosa we came back via Kin Kin on the Tin Can Bay Road. It had started raining through the night when we were in Noosa and in the morning, but it really opened up on the way home. There were times when we couldn’t see the road properly.

Driving through Kin Kin on the way home, a pretty little town with a great pub, we stopped for a drink. On Sundays they have live music, and while we didn’t stay this time, we’ve decided we’ll go back another Sunday for lunch and the music. Lovely spot.
